Growing up around her mother's cyber café, its founder spent countless after-school hours playing around with design tools like CorelDraw and Microsoft Paint, reading encyclopedias, and immersing herself in digital play.
Lantern is created out of a memory of limitation; the frustration of playing word guessing games that required knowledge she had not yet been exposed to, revealing a quiet gap between curiosity and cultural context.
Lantern is created out of a lifelong love for learning and a deep pride in Nigerian identity. Today, it stands as a thoughtfully curated, category-based word guessing game that centers the language, nuance, and lived experiences that shape Africa.
